Rhyme Time is back this Wednesday with nursery rhyme One Two Three Four Five and fish crackers counting activity! We provided a simple printable you can freely download and use at home for counting activity with your kids!
There are several other activities related to this nursery rhyme we would like to share with you and you can find them at the bottom of this post.
We used only 2 things for today’s activity: a bag of fish cracker snacks and printable (scroll down to find a link to download).
Setup is really simple – place fish crackers in a bowl and then set aside on a plastic tray along with printable sheet. We usually use plastic trays for this type of activity to contain our counters, fish crackers.
My toddler is right now into counting everything and she was all over this activity as soon as she saw the tray on the table. She came in and said: “I have to play with this!”. We started by recognizing numbers and she showed them as I asked to point to a specific number. Next, I added one fish cracker on top of the dot next to number one and invited her to count and fill remaining dots / spots.
She did this activity several times and ate several fish crackers while she counted and played. But, that’s the beauty of using fish crackers for learning, right?

Mihaela runs Best Toys 4 Toddlers blog and loves to come up with new ideas how to use old toys her 2 daughters keep leaving on the floor to slip over. She loves them despite the fact that they call her mommy few hundred times a day, and it makes her nuts.
