Both of my daughters love listening to the stories any time but specially around Christmas time when we love to read about Santa, elves, reindeers and other wonderful and magical creatures.
We often recreate book through play or different activities and kids enjoy playing and replaying scenes from book we just read.
What your kids ask from you to read them over Christmas? Which Christmas book is their favorite?
We have picked to read one of the Little Golden Books – The Little Christmas Elf. This is a sweet little book about little elf who is finally old enough to help other elves make toys kids will receive for Christmas. However, little elf is lacking practice and doesn’t manage to get her toy ready on time when Santa arrives to pick toys and takes them to kids. However, little elf didn’t give up and by the end of the story, it turns out that it’s good thing she didn’t! Ok, you really need to read a book!
We have decided to make our own little elves to recreate a story. Kids played with their little elves and each made their own toys (we used tiny toys we had at hand!). See, that little bear is the only one left on the workshop table? Not finished yet!
Can you guess what these elves are made from? However, lightning was pretty bad and our pictures didn’t turn out as well as we hoped so we’re going to repeat all the steps and make a tutorial for these elves at the beginning of next week. Come back to check them out or subscribe to our newsletter to make sure you didn’t miss the tutorial!
Tutorial to help you make these adorable christmas elves in under 15 minutes is now live!

Mihaela runs Best Toys 4 Toddlers blog and loves to come up with new ideas how to use old toys her 2 daughters keep leaving on the floor to slip over. She loves them despite the fact that they call her mommy few hundred times a day, and it makes her nuts.
