Is your kid a picky eater? Mine were too until we tried out a few of these products. They’re designed for all ages and are sure to make meal time fun and engaging for the pickiest of eaters.
Picky eaters can be frustrating (especially for new parents), but with the right tools you can turn it around. Using these top 10 items to satisfy every picky eater, we’ve gone from “No Mom I won’t eat that” to “Please Mom can we eat that?”. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed these at our home and we hope you do too.
#1 – Fun Bites
Fun Bites comes with the set of three that are featured in the image above. They are designed to cut food into fun different shapes. Like hearts, squares and triangles. Anything from fruit to sandwiches can be turned into a fun shape. Combining all of the shapes allows for a lot of different designs.
#2 – Dinner Winner
The Dinner Winner turns dinner into a board game. At my house we put small portions in each section, fruits, vegetables, meats, whatever is for dinner that night. The last space on the board game is covered so once your kid eats all the way to the end they find whatever treat you hid in there for them. It was a great help getting my daughter to finish her veggies.
#3 – Animal Friends Food Cutter and Stamp Kit
This food cutter and stamp kit is great for picky eaters of every age. It can be used as a cookie cutter, rice mold, sandwich cutter and more. You can also stamp bread, cookies and pie to make the happy animal faces you see above. The cat is the house favorite!
#4 – Star Pack Sandwich Cutters
My daughters don’t like crust on their sandwiches so the star pack sandwich cutters were an obvious choice for me. There are four shapes included in the set. Dinosaurs, hearts, a butterfly, and a cool puzzle piece shaped one. After cutting the sandwich into puzzle pieces spread them apart and see if your kids can put the puzzle together again.
#5 – Constructive Eating Plate
The constructive eating plate makes meal time so much fun. There is a bulldozer utensil to push around food and a forklift shaped fork and a front loader shaped spoon. Dinner just became a construction zone. Bring your hard hat!
#6 – Healthy Kids Plate
My girls love their healthy kids plate. It features the food pyramid which teaches healthy eating habits and can help picky eaters see that they only need a little bit of something they don’t like (whether it be vegetables or dairy products) to be healthy.
#7 – Learning Chopsticks
Chopsticks are fun and a nice way to teach the kids about another culture at dinner time. Since chopsticks aren’t so easy for smaller hands (even adults) to master, we picked up these learning chopsticks. My girls love the cute little characters on them and like to eat with a new utensil.
#8 – Silicone Molds
The owl and skull are so cute! The silicone molds are great for breakfast. You can make either eggs or pancakes with each mold. They are a great addition to breakfast time, or when you have breakfast for dinner!
#9 – Pasta Server
My kids really did not like to eat spaghetti noodles. That was until we got Fred the pastasaurus pasta server. Now if Fred “eats” the pasta, my girls will too.
#10 – Nessie Ladle
Most kids don’t like soups, so naturally trying to make soups more fun is a great choice. With the Nessie ladle it looks like the mythical creature is swimming around in your soup pot. Whether you are serving soup, stew, or pasta sauce, Nessie is a great fit in any kitchen and has found a permanent spot in our home.
