black sakura pen 0.8, scissors and glue stick.
black sakura pen 0.8, scissors and glue stick.
Start by printing out Poinsettia template from the bottom of this page. You can chose to color either in color or black and white for kids to color themselves. I was about to print in full color but ended without printer color!

If you printed Poinsettia in full color, than you can give your kid to cut it out. Optional, kid can draw veins on leaves and petals. If you downloaded black and white version, child should first color everything and add veins before cutting.
|
When child cuts all parts, they should apply glue only on center of each layer. This will add dimension to Poinsettia and flower will not look flat when done.
Glue two greens one on top of another, centering them and making sure leaves of upper layer are in between leaves on lower layer. |
Than add larger red layer, again rotate a little. At the end, add smaller red part and yellow middle part. All of these layers should be glued only in the middle and centered.
We have draw few more lines to emphasize each layer of finished Poinsettia. |
