Although you will not find many Christmas themed posts this year (unlike last year when we did Blank Christmas Cards Advent Calendar and 24 Days of Christmas Busy Bags), we are still doing daily activities to countdown our way to Christmas! Like this, very easy to create, collage Christmas wreath made of torn paper.
I prepared everything for girls in advance: cut out 2 wreath shapes from cardboard boxes I found in our recycle bin, gathered paper scraps we had in green and red shades, school glue and brushes for each one of them.
They had as much fun tearing up the paper scraps in small pieces as gluing them! π Small joys!
My daughters are at the moment 3 and 7 years old. It was really fun seeing how differently their brains work!
Younger glued pieces of paper here and there, in no order. She didn’t cover the complete cardboard wreath with paper scraps, but she decided that it’s finished! So, yes. It’s done and it’s perfect. All colorful and joyful!
At the same time, my older daughter crafted much more detailed and neater wreath layering circle after circle of green paper scraps, from outer circle towards the middle. And finished in the middle with red paper scraps. You can see how years of crafting influenced her! π

What a fantastic Christmas craft for toddlers or preschoolers. I think my girls, who are in kindergarten, would enjoy making one too. Thanks for linking up at #made4kids this week.

This is such a fun & cute idea! I like the idea of getting the kids involved in decorating for the season. I think my favorite thing about this is that they don’t need to use scissors which can be dangerous and requires a lot of attention while they’re used, instead they can do this with no safety issues. Great work & thank you for sharing at Welcome Home Wednesday π
