When it comes to toys for toddlers, one toy every parent will surely recommend are Lego bricks. It really isn’t a surprise! Lego set can be used in so many different ways that it surely pays off over time.
The only thing really to look after is to make sure everything gets back in the box before bedtime! It will prevent parents to stand on the brick when visiting their toddler in the dark. It’s really painful if you don’t wear slippers!
Since I have girls, and girls love dolls and plush thingies, one of the ways we play is to combine the love for dolls with building with Legos.
This is how my toddler came to an idea to make a sitting set for her Fifi the Flowertots dolls (affiliate) with Legos. With mommy’s help, she made two double seats and a little table in the middle.
One thing led to another, cups were added to a table and sooner than we realized, Fifi dolls were having a tea party!
Sadly, I forgot to take pictures during the construction stage and kids playing with it but Lego seat tea set is still intact and maybe kids will continue the play tomorrow.
Until then, I selected couple additional pretend play ideas with Lego so you can check out and get inspired (click on the image to visit the post idea and get more details for a set up):
