It’s been fun to play a bit with paint on day 16 of our Blank Christmas Cards Advent Countdown with Kids!Creating a winter scene with Q-tips is an awesome pre-writing fine motor skill activity and even 2 year old toddlers can enjoy playing with it. Final result might be a little bit abstract but snow scenes as they are in nature can appear a bit messy as well!
Of course, this and any other art activity including paint with toddlers should be closely supervised by parents or other adults. |

Things we used for today’s card are:
- colored cardstock for a card
- white tempera paint
- q-tip
- markers for details.
Put a paint on a plate and add q-tip. Just let child play around with paint creating snowflakes and snow. As you can see on a picture, my toddler’s snowman looks like wind blow it off a bit. Very cute! When they are done, and it dries, add details with markers – nose, eyes, mouth, buttons and a little scarf! Done!
