It’s only 4 days until Christmas and today is also day 21 for our Blank Christmas Cards Advent Countdown with Kids. For today’s card, kids had fun doing some painting with marbles and we reused it to make a tree card!
We just love how vibrant colors on this tree came up! If you haven’t done painting with marbles, you should! It’s contained messy play in a box. |

For today’s card we used
- colored cardstock
- marbles
- watercolor paper
- tempera paint
- scissors
- glue
If you have never done painting with marbles, it’s really simple to set up: you will need couple sheets of paper, tempera paint, tape, couple marbles and larger shoe box. Simply use tape to secure paper on the bottom of the box, add some marbles and bit of tempera paint. As kids move the box around, marbles leave painted traces on paper. Let them play around as much as they want. This is awesome play and art activity for even tiny tots. Once kids are satisfied with their artwork, let it dry.
We reused this artwork made by my kids to make trees and glue them on one of our Christmas cards.
