Two is a big age for us and our kids. They are growing up so fast and their imagination is growing even faster. Implementing fine motor skills at this early age is important for your toddler’s growth and development. At two years old they are starting to play pretend like talking on the phone. Our kids are growing up so quickly that we usually do not have time to do much research, luckily I have done it all for you. Here are the top ten toys that promote fine motor skills for 2-year-olds.

Our toddlers are growing up so fast and sometimes it is hard to keep up. It is even harder to find toys that help our little ones develop the physical skills that they will need later in life. Two-year-olds are so receptive to new ideas that I think your children will learn just as much as mine did using these toys.
#1 – Sort and Discover Activity Cube
My girls loved the sort and discover activity cube! There is so much to learn from the toy that your kid will be learning all day. From book pages, spinners, piano keys, a shape sorter and music there’s five sides that offer different activities. We loved this one!
#2 – Building Blocks
From Mega Bloks comes the First Builders Big Building Bag. It includes 80 pieces that are vibrantly colored and easily connected and disconnected. They are gender neutral but come in blue and pink if you want them specifically for your little boy or little girl.
#3 – Squeeze Blocks
Squeeze Blocks are great! They are soft, stackable, and even safe if your toddler is teething. Each block has an animal, a texture, and a number. My girls really enjoyed these blocks. They are a ton of fun to build with, and feel the different textures. With 60 images there is plenty for baby to see!
#4 – Smart Wheels
With Smart Wheels from VTech, your toddler will have so much fun launching the cars down the raceway. You can make two separate tracks and race like my daughters did or you can connect them for a longer ramp.
#5 – Drop and Go Dump Truck
We love the Drop and Go Dump Truck! You put one of the colorful “rocks” on top and watch it tumble into the bucket. It has a string so baby can pull wherever they need a dump truck to get the job done.
#6 – Baby’s First Blocks
Little ones LOVE shape sorters like this. That’s why there is a variation of some sort on every one of these post I share with you. Simply because they’re so popular and amazing for developing fine motor skills. Baby’s First Blocks is among my favorites when it comes to shape sorters.
#7 – Stack ‘n Sounds Blocks
Big blocks are great for small hands. Each stack ‘n sound block has a ball inside so when the block is shaken they make a unique sounds. My girls love all the different sounds. The blocks can also be stacked and balanced for a few different options for fun.
#8 – Learn to Dress Monkey
The learn to dress monkey offers 11 different activities. Everything from straps, velcro, zippers and more. This toy helped my daughters learn how to button their own buttons and zip their own zippers. We loved this one at my house!
#9 – Chatter Telephone
What a better way to keep your toddler off your new smart phone and accidentally calling everyone in your contact list than to give them their own pull along pretend phone. The chatter telephone is a great alternative to sticky smart phones!
#10 – Bead Maze Game
My girls liked the bead maze game almost as much as I did. It fits perfectly on highchair trays. No assembly required, it is ready to play with right out o the box!
